USDA-ARS Corn Insects and Crop Genetics

Iowa State University has been fortunate to have the presence of a good United States Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) unit on campus working in the general area of plant breeding and genetics since about 1922. Many members of the Raymond F. Baker Center for Plant Breeding maintain long-standing collaborations with the USDA-ARS Corn Insects and Crop Genetics Research Unit lead by Dr. Craig A. Abel.
