Seminar Description: We invite you to an engaging seminar at Iowa State University tailored for plant breeding students and faculty, where we will explore the transformative potential of FIND-IT technology and Traitomic in plant science research. This seminar will focus on the scientific methods and practical applications of these technologies, providing valuable insights into their role in advancing plant breeding and genetics.

Gabi Gomez is originally a food scientist that ventured into business with Master’s in Biotechnology BioBusiness & Innovation, and an MBA in Bioentrepreneurship. With nearly ten years in product and business development, she excels in innovation management. Currently, she is a Commercial Manager at Traitomic, leading commercialization strategies in the plant, microbial, and food industries as well as managing academic partnerships.

Toni Wendt is a passionate trait developer with a PhD in Crop Genetics and over 10 years of experience in genetic crop improvement. During his time at the renowned Carlsberg Research Laboratory, Toni co-invented Carlsberg’s non-GM trait development technology, FIND-IT, and co-founded the Carlsberg venture, Traitomic. Today, Toni is driving Traitomic’s mission to utilize advanced genetic screens, aiming to provide more diverse, nutritious, and sustainable food for the future.
