Since 2014, the Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University has been hosting the annual R. F. Baker Plant Breeding Symposium as part of the Corteva Symposia Series.

The latter is a global network of student-organized and driven scientific symposia organized in over 16 countries on six continents. The aim is to equip the next generation of plant scientists with critical organizational and management skills and expose them to a diversity of career opportunities in agriculture.

This event is part of the Corteva Symposia Series, which allows networking building and research experience sharing among the next generation of scientists.

The idea is to enhance public-private expert interaction through academic-driven events at different organizations worldwide.
